Restorative Action Policy Template

Hue recognises that how organisations respond to harm can have significant influence on staff and community wellbeing. Classic disciplinary policies use punishment as a primary response for harm, which we recognise is part of a carceral system that furthers cycles of harm, and do not bring meaningful growth or accountability. Hue’s restorative action policy is an alternative style policy designed to acknowledge the context and experience of all members of our community, and bring about learning in a non-punitive way.
