This workshop orients LGBTIQA+ justice within the broader struggle against oppressive systems. Together we explore: the relationships between the systems that oppress queer people and racial capitalism and colonialism, intersectionality, how tokenism and corporate co-option of LGBTIQA+ rights impact our communities, assimilation vs liberation and how queer communities continue to resist oppressive systems in solidarity with other groups.
